Graduating Seniors Invited to Apply for New Rotary Scholarship
 
As we celebrate the Club’s 100th anniversary we have established our first annual scholarship. We are inviting Franklin County, VT high school students to apply by April 1.
 
We will select and recognize two students who have excelled with performing community service. This aligns with our Rotary Club motto “Service Above Self”. We are proud of and are thankful for the caring students that serve our community.
 

The Rotary Club is committed to investing in young people. We are pleased to support a Rotary Interact Club at BFA. St. Albans and welcome opportunity to support other Interact Clubs in our local high schools. 

 

To apply, students must complete an application by April 1 that includes an essay on their immediate plans after high school, description of future goals, the use of the scholarship funds and why the Rotary Club should consider their application.  A fillable application form can be downloaded at the left. Attach additional pages as needed to complete the information and then email everything to the address in the green button.

2. Two Personal Non-Family References
 
3. Proof of acceptance to a program of post-secondary education.
 

Application Process

The Rotary Club of St, Albans invites you to apply for our first Annual Scholarship Awards. The Scholarship(s) are awarded to students that reside in Franklin County. For the calendar year of 2024 The Rotary Club of St. Albans will award two, $1,000.00 scholarships.
 
Our Scholarship is intended to recognize individuals who have demonstrated leadership qualities, achieved academic success, and exhibited the characteristics of “Service Above Self.” The Committee will be looking for candidates that have performed community service giving back to the community beyond what is required to fulfill a club or school requirement.
 
The Rotary Club will award funds to be used towards pursuit of postsecondary education or certification. To qualify, you must complete this application, submit it (in its entirety) by the deadline, be determined eligible, and satisfy the criteria established by Rotary Club of St. Albans Scholarship Committee.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduating Senior Class of 2024
2. Resides within Franklin County
3. Demonstrated school and/or community service
4. Proof of acceptance to a college or university, technical school, or certification program
5. Applicant must email the application and supporting documentation by APRIL 1, 2024
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Application and all attachments for email submission, delivered by email as directed in the application form, not later than April 1, 2024.
