ST. ALBANS — The 31st Rotary Home and Recreation Expo was attended by over 5,000 this past weekend.

The number of people rolling through the doors at Collins Perley set a new record and is believed to be the first time the show hit 5,000 attendees.

As the biggest fundraiser for the Rotary Club of St. Albans, the event will bring in a swell of proceeds to benefit a variety of community initiatives and projects. Volunteer Rotarians were hard at work all weekend, running the silent auction, promoting grab bags and checking in with vendors.

The show set another record this year too with 135 vendors, 38 of which were brand new.

From Pampered Chef and Tupperware to cars, tractors and e-bikes, there was something for everyone. Attendees talked with realtors, bankers, landscapers, contractors and more, all while enjoying delicious food from local producers.

With free samples to find, prizes to win and a scavenger hunt to take part in, there was no shortage of fun activities for the whole family. Spiderman and R2-D2 even made an appearance.
